Daniel Paul Issel is one of the top 50 players
in Pro Basketball history. He was with the
Denver Nuggets since 1975 until he resigned in
2002. He couldn't stand the losing. Dan was a
memeber of Kentucky Coach Adolph Rupp's 'Runts',
who won the NCAA Men's Basketball Championship
team in 1967. Issel played 1971-86. He played
F on the greatest Pro team ever, the Hubie
Brown Coached 1974-75 Kentucky Colonels ABA
squad that won 74 of 84 games. He played along-
side the great Artis Gilmore, who is ninth in
Pro Basketball scoring with 24,500+. No cauca-
sion has scored more points in Pro BVasketball,
27,482, than Issel. He retired as fourth alltime
in 1986. He is wrong about Lew Alcinder, i.e.
Kareem Abdull-Jabber though. He was cussed at
by a drunk mexican idiot who called him a 'kraut'
once when the Nuggets lost a game. Issel appolo-
gized, but how come the drunken fan didn't? Poli-
tical Stupidity at it's finest, I guess. That's why
our borders are wide open! Issel is only half ger-
man/half english american mix though. He is doing
Real Estate today. Can't wait for John Rocker's
book to clear that up as well.
